Makeup in film can be used to show someone's injuries like a cut also it can make the actors appearance look better on screen.
Colour:
People use colour in joy to make the film look better, but it can also be used to show emotions like yellow is usually used to represent joy or insanity.
Lighting:
Lighting in film is used to set a visual mood in some sort of scene.
Props:
Props in film can help enhance a scene to make it look better or be used as a tool like a sword.
Settings:
Settings is the time and place in a movie or show.
Dialogue:
This can be used to reveal something big or add to a plot.
Sound Effects:
This can be used to hype up a scene like a fight scene or be added to a punch to make it sound real.
Music:
Music is basically used exactly like sound effects, it's almost crucial to have music in a scene.

This is used usually when something serious is happening.

This is like a green screen, it can be an illusion or a visual trick.
