Nuremburg Laws

  1. Provide two examples of ways in which the Nuremberg laws affected the rights of German Jews.
German Jews from Reich citizenship and prohibited them from marrying or having sexual relations with persons of “German or German related blood”.
Jewish officers were expelled from the army and Jewish university students were not allowed to sit for doctoral exams.
    2. What other actions were taken that discriminated against Jews in Germany? (Remembering)
Jewish people were disenfranchised (which means they had no right to vote) and could not hold public office.
Other regulations reinforced the message that Jews were outsiders in Germany.
    3. Why do you think that the Nazis passed these laws? (Understanding)
They probably passed these laws because it made the Germans look strong and superior and the rules did not affect themselves.
    4. If a New Zealand government passed a law that provided for different treatment of a named racial group in New Zealand, what do you think the reaction of most New Zealand people would be? Why do you think this might be the case? (Applying)
I think that the majority of New Zealand wouldn't go along with this because New Zealand involves a lot of different cultures.
    5. Do you think these Nuremberg laws were racist? Explain your point of view. (Evaluating)I think that these laws were racist and wouldn't be accepted in modern society.

The Great Depression

Why was Germany hit so hard in the Great Depression?

The great depression lasted from 1929 to 1939. This was the worst economic downfall in the world that we know. One of the most affected areas was Europe and Germany. Hitler and the Nazi party blamed the treaty Versailles for this. The Great Depression Started on the October of 1929 which sent Wall Street into panic and wiped out millions of investors. Germany suffered the most out of any nation because of a result of the recall of the US led and that caused the economy to collapse. 6 million Germans were unemployed during the great depression and 15 million us people were unemployed. As a percentage German suffered more from The Great Depression. These events lead to the destruction of German democracy.

What did Germany have to agree to by signing the treaty of Versailles?

On June 18 1919 The treaty of Versailles was signed at the palace of Versailles outside of Paris, France. The treaty was the one that officially ended the five years of conflict that was known as The Great War. For Germany, signing the treaty meant that Germany had to disarm, make ample territorial concessions and pay reparations to certain countries that had formed Entente powers. The treaty forced Germany to give up territory to Belgium, Czechoslovakia and Poland. Germany lost 13% of European territory in total and 1/10th of its population. Germany had to pay 6.6 billion which meant that the economy definitely wouldn't recover.

How was New Zealand affected by the great depression?

The great depression for New Zealand began in the early 1930's and ended in 1935. From 1930 export prices started to decrease and fell a total of 45% by 1933.

5. Place the test tube in a beaker filled with WARM water.
6. Leave for 10 minutes.
7. Slowly pour 5 ml of methylated spirits down the inside of the test tube.
Results:
Discussion:
Where do you find DNA?
You can find DNA in all living things.
What makes up DNA?
DNA is made up of nucleotide, this contain a sugar group, a phosphate group and one of four types of nitrogen bases.
How much DNA do humans share with the kiwi fruit/Bananas?
We share 60% of our DNA with bananas. A study revealed that kiwi fruits has similarities between 39, 040 genes and other plant species including potatoes and tomato's.
Conclusion:
In conclusion we could see that the DNA formed in between the kiwi fruit juice and the methylated spirits. The DNA just looked like a bunch of tiny bubbles and the test worked out exactly the way kit was planned to.
