Home Economics

Today in Home economics we had to create a Word art containing the responsibilities and rules that we have to follow in the kitch. This was mine. We also had to go into the kitchens to find out what groups we are in this semester and to find out where all of the pots and pans were.

Diegetic Sound- Sounds Added on a scene eg music.

Non-diegetic Sound- Sounds that happen naturally in a scene eg footsteps, wind blowing leaves.'

Chords>Major- Written in a major key, has a happy uplifting tone.

Minor- Written in a minor key, has a sad, gloomy, morose tone.

Tempo- Fast- Could walk quickly to make the music feel energetic, gives movement/pace

             Moderate- Mix of two

             Slow- Dragging feet pace, makes music feel lethargic, boring and sleepy.

Dynamic-Loud- Gets the viewers attention, enhances emotions/mood.

               Quiet- Either backround noise or used to make the viewer focus.

               Changing- When it's loud it builds intensity and when it's quiet it draws focus.

First Song: Happy, energetic

Second Song: Sad, deppressing, lonely

Chords- Minor and has a sad vibe.

Tempo- Moderate makes you feel a bit edgy.

Dynamic- Changing- it starts quiet than it will get louder and go quiet again.

Mouse Circus

Chords- Minor- is very upbeat and energetic but the minor tone makes it feel off.

Tempo- Fast- gives us upbeat, want to move, makes circus feel fun.

Dynamic- Louds- makes the viewer feel hyped up.

Write a paragraph explaining how are colour and lighting used to create the two worlds

This scene is near the start of the film and gives us a feel on how the real world is and the overall vibe of the real world. The colour in this scene is a bit dull but the light coming in from the window makes the vibe in the house feel a bit happier. This photo seems a bit plain and looks like there isn't much warmth throughout the house, also the colour here isn't a warm orangey yellow colour but this has a white colour which makes the house look cold. One of the reasons why Coraline wanted to stay in the other world is because it was more welcoming to the eyes but that just went to show the theme looks can be decieving.

In this photo we can see the other worlds kitchen and compared to the kitchen we saw before this one has a warmth feeling in it because of the nice orange colours and with it being night time it gives off a different effect. this is the first time we see the kitchen in the other world so for Coraline this would make her feel welcome because the normal kitchen is so boring compared to this.
