Distillation

 Filtration: Solid+Liquid
Evaporation: Liquid to Solid
Distillation: Liquid to gas

What is...
Evaporation: When you give liquid heat it the particles seperate and the particles end up turning into a gas.
Condensation: This is when you take heat away from gas or cooling it and it turns into a liquid.

Distillation Experiment:
Am: To seperate a salute from a solvent in a solution using disillation.
Equipment: A solution of coke, conical flask, heatproof mat, a delivery tube and bung, bunsen burner, tripod, guaze mat, retort stand, boss head and clamp, boiling tube.
Method:
1. Set up the equipment as shown in the diagram.
2. Add aproxximately 50ml of coke to your conical flask
3. Light your bunsen burner. Open the air hole and gently push the bunsen burner under the tri pod.
4. Heat the solution until most of the solvent has been evaporated. Turn off your bunsen burner.

Hypothesis: I think that the all or most of the sugar will stay in the first boiling tube and then the liquid that goes through the tube will be a black water like liquid.

Observations: From what I saw when the heat first started the coke started to bubble, later on as it started to boil the heat made the coke evaporate into the tube and created it's own liquid.
