Drawing for tone, texture and porportion

 What is tone in drawing?
Tone in drawing refers to the relative lightness or darkness of a color, one color can hold multiple different tones even hundreds of different tones. When using a pastel the person using it may tend to use colored paper to support the pastel.

How have I used tone in my drawing?
Im not that good at shading but I pretend that the lighting was on the left side of the page so the shading was on the right side of the drawing, one thing i could include is some shadows.

  1. Well done William. I can see you get that light direction affects what is darker and what is lighter. Shadows definitely help with creating a sense of depth and three dimensions. We will look into some of these things next term. Thank you for posting.
