Heart Dissection
On Tuesday in Science we dissected a pigs heart to find out how the heart works. (not the actual photo) We wanted to learn how the heart works so that's why we dissected the heart. Some of the equipment we used was a scalpel, scissors and had to lay down news paper in case the blood came out. The left part of the heart is more thicker and larger than the right side and this is because it has to pump blood to the whole body were as the right side of the heart just has to pump deoxyenated blood and blood to the lungs which is right next to the heart. We started by cutting the the left side of the heart and then cut down the right side to open up the heart and look inside. In the end we actually got to see inside and see what is inside the heart.
